E-Mail Campaigns Out Perform Social Media When It Comes To Conversions


Marketing is on every business owners and C Level executive minds these days.  What most business owners and C Level executives don’t realize is that in the grand scheme of things when it comes to marketing campaigns that really produce, e-mail outperforms social media.  That’s right the use of e-mail traditionally will produce a higher level of success than your social media efforts will.

The report went on to show the following: “E-mail remains a significantly more effective way to acquire customers than social media—nearly 40 times that of Facebook and Twitter combined (exhibit). That’s because 91 percent of all US consumers still use e-mail daily, and the rate at which e-mails prompt purchases is not only estimated to be at least three times that of social media, but the average order value is also 17 percent higher.2

What this mean to the average business trying to grow revenues and increase sales?  Use e-mail as much as possible.  It is time to stop thinking of e-mail marketing as an alternative to social media because it out performs when it comes to conversions on a very consistent basis.

There is more, according to an article written by Kimberlee Morrison, “In 2015 60.7 percent of marketers said they were increasing their email marketing budgets, while 4.3 percent had plans to decrease spending.”  These are big numbers for marketers, especially for those who are already using e-mails.

The use of e-mail to drive revenues is too big of a secret to all of those business owners and executives out there. E-mail campaigns can be extremely impactful if you have the right list, you understand how to market to that list, and you are willing to invest to make things happen for your company.
